CHRIS YOUNG
October 27, 1956 -

Chris Brady Young
A Memorial Home Page

This page was created to remember a friend; his name was Chris Young.

The scene begins and ends in Grayson County, Texas in and around the Sherman/Denison area near the Oklahoma border.

Chris was born October 27, 1956.

The parts Chris played were those of a good person. He was a hard worker. Chris worked many years at MEMC Inc., located in Sherman off Hwy 75. They manufactured the silicon wafers used in the manufacture of integrated circuits- the building blocks of today's electronics. There was a time when Chris lived in Plano and was driving 40+ plus miles one way to work at MEMC. Since he drove nearly 90 miles round trip to work every day, Chris got pleasure from driving a nice, fully-loaded vehicle. One story, passed around among Chris's friends (and they were many) took place was when he was looking for a car. He'd already chosen his vehicle- a very well-equipped one- when he asked the salesman "Are you sure there aren't any other options I can get on this car?" Chris wanted his transportation to be fully tricked out.

The two guys rode jet skis on Lake Texoma.

Chris was multi-talented. He liked to play pool. He built or remodeled a number of homes that he lived in- doing everything from framing in the doors & windows to cutting and laying ceramic tile floors. He once owned jet skis and took them out on Lake Texoma. Chris was basically a country boy and loved country music. Among the artists he enjoyed were Vince Gill, George Strait, Alan Jackson, & Lady Antebellum.

At a birthday party years ago was our close group of friends- Fred, Larry, Lowery, Ron, Ron, Ron & Chris

Chris was a well-rounded guy; in the picture at right he is on a trip in Arkansas.

Chris died on March 2, 2009. He was 52 years old. He left this stage of life too quickly after valiantly fighting a battle with cancer.

Chris, we will remember you and miss you.
